This style of bomb shelter
quickly became the shelter of choice for many of our citizens, particularly with Air Force
generals. It's wigwam style design was simple, yet elegant enough for an impromtu
cocktail party with the neighbors.
After the cold war ended, most of these shelters were converted to above-ground swimming pools.
