| TULLY AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY |
Over the past 4 years, funds and grants have been secured to paint both buildings, repair the roofing on both, and make many much needed preservation repairs to the masonry foundations, and steps. The most recent addition is the furnace for the sanctuary area of the south building. This will allow opening the area for community use for meetings and other types of events. It is hoped that within a year the large Stevens Pipe Organ installed in 1924 will be in working order and recitals can be held once again. The TOWN OF TULLY will celebrate their bicentennial in the year 2003 and the Society is currently working with a committee to plan the celebration. Currently there are over 100 members and new members are added after each mailing of the TAHS Newsletter. The Newsletter is bulk mailed to the 13159 Zip Code area and to all members outside of that zip. Hours for the Exhibit Hall and Bookstore are as follows: Monday...............9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday..............9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.........9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday.................. 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday.............10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Also open by appointment. |
