Stephanie Crawford and Staffordshire Bull Terrier "Tom" completed their NAJ at the Cleveland shows with a third place in the class. Penny Sencer took her dogs to a CPE trial in Farmington and in 15 total runs (7 each for Ditz and Dervish and one Jumpers for Curly), we had 15 Qs, 10 1st places, 1 2nd place and 1 3rd place. Tina Powell took "Norman" to the Boomtown CPE trial where they got Q's in Level 4 Standards (only 11 teeters to our CATCH!), Level 5 Wildcard, Level 5 Jumpers, Level 5 Snooker, and 2 in level 5 Colors. NovemberDave Oberbeck reports that Golden Retriever "Jake" has had a great year and earned several CPE titles. The standard agility Level I (have started level II leg) Title, Fun games 2 legs level I Title (started level II), Strategy games 2 legs Level I Title, and they need 1 Leg of Wildcard to complete all level I handler games. This included 5-1st places 3-2nd places and one 4th place. Congratulations Dave and Jake! Early in November, Penny Sencer attended a CPE trial. All the dogs did will "Curly" earned a

Standard Q & 4th (Level 5 Standard Class Championship - ChST) and a OctoberLori Markoff and English Shepherd "Bet Bet" went to a NADAC trial and got 1st and had a Q in Tunnelers. Congratulastions! October 13 and 14th was the date of a CPE trial in Port Byron NY. Tina and "Norman" earned Qs in
October 6 & 7 at the Skaneateles CPE trial "Norman" and Tina earned Q's in 3 Level 4 Standard classes, a Level 5 Colors, Level 5 Snooker, Level 5 Jackpot, and level 5 Jumpers. At the Williamsport trials "Spice" and Helen Smith earned a regular Novice FAST leg. SeptemberAt the Wine Country circuit in New York, Terry Brown and Australian Shepherd "Trek" earned two Qs in Novice Jumpers Perferred with a first and fourth place, and also a Novice Standard Preferred Q with a 2nd place. Jim Turner and Irish Setter "Jazzi" went to the AKC trials in Doylestown PA September 22-23 and report that they earned their 3rd double Q with a 4th place in Excellent B Standard. Penny Sencer went to a CPE trial the same weekend, and she and "Curly" earned a Q and a 1st in Level 3 Jumpers. "Dervish" 2 Qs, 1st & 3rd in Standard, Q & 1st in Wildcard, Q & 1st in Colors, Q & 1st in Fullhouse, Q & 1st in Jumpers. He only 3 Jackpot Qs for his C-ATCH! "Ditz" earned a Q and 2nd place and a very big ribbon in his last ever Level 5 run for his Jackpot Class Championship! He also earned 2 Qs and 2 2nd places in Standard, Q & 2nd in Colors, Q & 1st in Fullhouse, Q & 2nd in Jumpers. "Norman" and Tina Powell went to a USDAA trial and earned a Q in PI Pairs. September 15-16 saw Penny Sencer and Tina Powell at the Boomtown CPE trials. Penny and "Curly" earned a Level 3 Jumpers - 1st and a Q, and "Ditz" earned level C Qs in Jumpers for 2nd, Standard for 1st, Fullhouse for 3rd, Colors for 1st, Snooker for 1st and Wildcard for 2nd. "Dervish" was in level 5 and earned a Fullhouse 2nd & Q, Standard - 2 3rds & 2 Qs, Jumpers - 1st & Q, Snooker - 2nd & Q, Wildcard - Q (no place) and Colors - 2nd & Q. Tina and "Norman" got 6 Q's out of 8 runs. Most important of all - two of them were standard runs (with teeters - only 16 to go!). They got 2 Q's in Level 4 Standards, 1 in Level C Snooker, 1 in Level 5 Jackpot, 1 in Level 5 Fullhouse, and 1 in Level C Jumpers. "Norman" and Tina went to the USDAA trials in Blackthorn and earned a Q in PII Snooker run, their second leg and a Q in PI Pairs. Tina Powell is happy to report that at the Killowog NADAC trials "Norman" earned his first Elite Q! As well as earning Open Standard, Open Touch N Go, and Novice Tunnelers . At the same trials, Penny Sencer and the black dogs did well. "Curly" earned 2 Qs and 1sts in Open Jumpers, "Ditz" earned a Q and a 1st in Elite Regular, a Q and a 1st in Elite Jumpers and TADA! a Q, believe it or not, in Elite (NFC) Chances!!! And "Dervish" earned 2 Qs, a 1st and a 2nd in Novice Regular for his Superior Novice Regular title, a Q and a 1st in Open Regular, 2 Qs and 2 firsts in Novice Weavers, a Q and a first in Novice TouchNGo, a Q in Novice Chances, a Q and a 1st in Open Jumpers, a Q and a 2nd in Open Tunnelers for his Open Tunnelers title. Also at these trials "Trek" and Terry Brown earned their first Open Tunnelers leg with a first place. AugustAt the Susqenango Kennel club trials at the end of August, Helen Smith and "Spice" earned a regular Novice Standard leg. At the same trials, Terry Brown's "Trek" earned his second Novice FAST leg . Penny Sencer spent a weekend in VT at the NOMAD NADAC trials. The black dogs had a great time. "Curly" earned 2 Qs, 2nd & 3rd places in Open Jumpers for her Outstanding Open Jumpers (O-OJC) title. "Ditz" earned a Q and a 1st in Open Regular for his Superior Open Regular (S-OAC) title, a Q in open Chances for his Superior Open Chances (S-OCC) title, and a Q and a 3rd in Open Tunnelers. "Dervish" earned 4 Qs and 1sts in Novice Regular, a Q and a 1st in Open Jumpers for his Open Jumpers (OJC) title, a Q and a 3rd in Novice TouchNGo for his Outstanding Novice TouchNGo (O-TG-N) title, a Q and a 3rd in Novice Weavers, and a Q and a 4th in Open Tunnelers. Tina Powell reports that at the USDAA trials in Cato, "Norman" did the teeter for his first Standard Q in Novice. Also, at a recent NADAC trial in Muncy PA, Norman got his last leg of Open Standard. Yeah, Norman! JulySue Meas reports on her Parson Russel Terriers. Since beginning classes at Nordic Myst, "Puzzle" has earaend 2 ExB JWW legs in AKC, and with only one day of CPE showing, earned Qs in Standard (3rd place), Colors (1st place), Jackpot (3rd place) and Full House. "Spider" has earned a doubl Q, 2 Qs in ExB Std with a 3rd place, 4 Qs in ExB JWW, and 2 Qs in Novice FAST with a 1st and 3rd place, ,and in CPE earned her Standard Level 2 title with a 1st place, and a Q in Colors (3rd place), 2 Qs in Wildcard (2 1st places), and one Q each in Jackpot (1st place) , Fullhouse (1st place), and Jumpers (3rd place). JuneAt the Mt. Nittany Dog Training Club Obedience/Rally trials on June 16th and 17th, "Liza" and Terry Brown finished thier Rally Novice title. Congratulations! June 2-3, at the Nita-Nee Kennel Club AKC trials in PA, Helen Smith's "Spice" finished her NAP and NFP titles, and earned her second NJP leg! At the DOTCORNY AKC trial May 18, 19 & 20, John Russell and "Sassy" earned a Q in ExA standard - and took a first place - and a Q in Nov B Fast. Also, Judy Russell and "Spenser" earned two Qs in Ex B JWW (a fourth and a third) and two Qs in Ex B Standard (a second and a fourth) and two Qs in Nov B Fast. That's for 22 MACH point and the very first Double Q!!!! (And a six for eight Q rate!) . Way to go! At the CPE trials in Skaneateles May 19-20 Tina Powell and "Norman" got Q's in Level 5 Jackpot, Colors, Snooker, and Wildcard. But most important ....they got 2 Level 3 Standard Q's with 2 TEETERS! Yea! At the same trials, Penny Sencer and "Ditz" got a Q in Jackpot, "Dervish" Qed in Snooker, in Fullhouse, Ditz got a respectable Q and a 4th, and Dervish got a Q and a 2nd, and his Level 4 Fun Games title. Both dogs got Qs and 1sts in Wildcard, 1sts and Qs in Jumpers, and Qed in Colors. At the JAZZ CPE trial on May 13-14, Penny and "Ditz" earned Q - Level 5 Standard (C-ATCH2 title), Q & 2nd - Level 5 Fullhouse, Q - Level 5 Fullhouse, Q & 2nd - Level C Standard, Q & 2nd - Level C Snooker, Q & 3rd - Level C Jumpers, Q & 2nd - Level C Colors. And brother "Dervish" earned Q & 2nd - Level 3 Fullhouse, Q & 1st - Level 3 Jackpot (Level 3 Strategy Games title and entire Level 3 titles), Q & 2nd - Level 4 Fullhouse, Q & 2nd - Level 4 Standard, Q & 3rd - Level 4 Standard, Q & 2nd - Level 4 Snooker, Q & 1st - Level 4 Colors, Q & 2nd - Level 4 Wildcard (Level 4 Handler Games title). That is a lot of runs! At the AKC trials in PA the first weekend of May, Helen Smith's Samoyed "Spice" earned her first agility legs! She ended up with two Novice Standard Preferred and Novice Standard FAST legs, and one Novice JWW Preferred Q. At the same trials, "Trek" and Terry Brown earned their first Novice FAST leg with a 4th place. The first weekend of May Tina Powell and "Norman" went to a NADAC trial got Q's in Open Weavers (lovely fast weaves) and Novice Touch N Go. At the same trials, Penny Sencer and "Ditz" earned a TouchNGo Open Q. "Dervish" had 10 Qs, all 1st places. All his runs were in Novice. He had 4 Regular Qs, 2 Chances, plus Jumpers, Weavers, Tunnelers and TouchNGo. In the course of gathering all these Qs, Dervish also finished 4 titles - Novice Regular, Novice Chances, Outstanding Novice Jumpers, and Outstanding Novice Tunnelers. He is now BOCES Blackdog Whirling Dervish CL1, CL2, CL3-F, CL3-H, CL3-R, NAC, NCC, O-TN-N, O-NJC, PS1, PJ1, CGC. Yea Dervish! AprilBeth Scales and "Benjamin" went to the Killawog NADAC trials on April 28th and earned a 1st and a Q in Touch n go and a 1st and a Q in Jumpers. At the same trials Tina Powell and "Norman" got Q's in Novice Touch & Go and Novice Standards and had a great run, including an excellant gamble, that earned their Open title in Chances. Congratulations! Also in Killawog, Penny Sencer and "Dervish" got Qs in Novice Regular and Novice Jumpers, and "Curly" earned a solid Q in Open Jumpers. Judy Russell and miniature schnauzer "Spenser" earned an Ex B Standard leg (and six MACH points) at the Western Lakes AKC trial on April 22, 2007. Also on April 21-22, at the CPE trial at Port Byron Penny Sencer and
"Ditz" earned a 3rd & a Q in Level C Wildcard, a 3rd and
a Q in Level 5 Colors, 3rd and a Q in Level 5 Standard, a 2nd and a Q
in Level 5 Standard, and a Q in Level 5 Snooker. Brother "Dervish"
earned Qs and 1st places in Level 3 Standard, Level 4 Snooker and Level
4 Colors. He earned Qs and 2nd places in Level 3 At the same trial, Tina Powell and "Norman" Q'd in Level 3 Standard, Level 5 Jumpers and Level 5 Snooker. Tina Powell "Norman" went to a USDAA trial and earned their last two legs of the PII Jumpers title. At the Wrentham MA NADAC trial "Ditz" and Penny finished their Novice Weavers title which will give Ditz his Novice Versatility Award. Ditz also got a 4th and a Q in Open TouchNGo. "Curly" went 2 for 2, both first places, in Novice Weavers and Open Jumpers. She finished her Novice Weavers title. And "Dervish" had a 3rd and a Q in Novice TouchNGo, and a beautiful Novice Chances run. MarchAt the Salt City trials in March 2007, Judy Russell and miniature schnauzer "Spenser" earned their final Ex A JWW leg on Thursday and then on Saturday earned an Ex B Standard leg and 7 MACH points. Judy, handling in place of an injured JB, and miniature schnauzer "Sassy" earned an Ex B JWW leg on Thursday, crediting Sassy with her very first MACH points (3 of them actually!) Cindy and Sheltie "Scout" also went to a few days of the Salt City cluster and came away with a Q and 1st in Standard, and a Q and 1st in JWW. Also at Salt City, Terry Brown's young Siberian Huskey "Liza" earned her first Rally Novice leg!
FebruaryAt the CPE trial February 17 & 18 in Farmington NY. Penny and "Ditz" earned 7 Qs and a title. This includes a Q and a Class Championship title in Level 5 Wildcard, a 1st and a Q in Level C Standard, a 1st and a Q in Level 5 Jackpot, a Q in Level 5 Snooker, a Q in Level 5 Fullhouse, and a 1st and a Q in Level C Jumpers. "Dervish" earned a Q and a 2nd and a Q and a 3rd in Level 3 Standard, a Q, a 3rd and his Handler Games title in Level 3 Wildcard, and he finished his Level 4 Jumpers with his Blackdog championship run today. At the same trials, Tina Powell and "Norman" got Q's in Level 5 Wildcard & Snooker. At the NADAC trials in State College on Feb. 10-11, Terry Brown's Aussie "Trek" finished his Novice Tunnelers title. JanuaryAt a DOCNA Trial in PA "Norman" thrilled owner Tina Powell by doing a totally strange teeter! He earned a Q & first in Beginners standards. Congratulations! Several Nordic Myst students did well at the January 13-14 CPE Trial in Freeville NY.
