December

Penny Sencer reports on the summary of 2006 with her dogs. Mistress Mariah Curlygirl O-NJC, O-NAC, O-NCC, PD1, RS-N, GS-N earned 12 Qs and 2 titles in 2006 . C-ATCH Master Conan the Ditz ChST, ChJU, O-OAC, O-OJC, O-OCC, TN-O, TG-N, PD1, PG2, PK2, PJ2,  PJ3, RS-O, JS-O, GS-O earned 114 Qs and 14 titles in 2006 . And, BOCES Blackdog Whirling Dervish CL1, CL2, CL3-F, TN-N, NJC, PS1, PJ1 earned 48 Qs and 13 titles in 2006. Congratulations!

Sarah Shafer and "Songo", a mixed breed, earned three titles this year - NADAC regular, tunnelers and touch'n'go. They are now on their way to the next title

At a CPE trial, "Ditz" and Penny Sencer got a 2nd and a Q in Colors, a 2nd and a Q (5,7,7) in Snooker, and a 3rd and a Q in Fullhouse, a Q and a 4th in Wildcard, a Q and a 4th in Snooker and a Q in Level 5 Jumpers for his class championship! "Dervish" finished his Level 2 title with a Q and 1st in Fullhouse, Q and a 1st in Level 2 Snooker, and a Q and a 1st in Level 2 Jackpot and in his first Level 3 Snooker earned a Q and a 1st!

November

At a CPE trial in Garnerville, PA "Norman" & Tina Powell got Q's & 1st places in Level 4 Colors and Level 5 Jumpers.

At the Y Agility USDAA trials, Penny Sencer reports that Ditz earned PIII Jumpers and Snooker Qs. and Dervish earned a 1st, Q and title in PI Jumpers.

October

Barb Mattes and "Breeze" have done well in CPE agility! Breeze had 8 out of 10 qualifying scores, with 8 FIRST places. With all of this they completed their CL1-F (Fun), and CL2-S (Strategy) titles. And at the English Setter nationals Breeze earned his FIRST leg towards his JH (Junior Hunter) title, being the ONLY English Setter to receive a PERFECT score !!  He earned all 10's in each of the
categories he was judged in. 

Also at the CPE trial, Penny Sencer reports that Ditz earned: 9 Qs, 3 firsts, 5 seconds and a
fourth and Dervish earned 4 Qs, 1 each of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th!

Tina Powell reports that "Norman" had a wonderful weekend in Port Byron at the USDAA trial. They got 5 out 7 Q's. In PI they got 1 Gamblers, 2 Snookers, 1 Jumpers. In PII they got 1 Jumpers. So they got the Novice titles in Gamblers, Snooker & Jumpers!

John Russell and "Sassy" earned their AKC Excellent A JWW title at the Williamsport Dog Training Club's agility trial on October 8th. (Over ten seconds under course time!)

At a NADAC trial in Vermont, "Ditz" and Penny finished their Outstanding Open Regular title with 3 Qs (2 second places and a third place). They also Qed in Open Tunnelers with a 5th place. "Dervish" earned Qs and 1st places in Novice Regular, Novice Jumpers and Novice Tunnelers. "Curly" earned Qs and 1st places in Novice Jumpers and Novice Weavers, and a 3rd and a Q in Novice Tunnelers.

Saturday Oct. 7th in Telford PA "Norman" & Tina got the last leg of their Novice Weavers title at a NADAC trial. Congratulations!

Sally Carter and Cavalier KCS "Willow" who recently moved to NC, earned their Novice Standard title at the Durham, NC trials. Willow is now an NA NAJ!

September

"Norman" & Tina had a wonderful weekend in Port Byron at the USDAA trial. They got 5 out 7 Q's. In PI they got 1 Gamblers, 2 Snookers, 1 Jumpers. In PII they got 1 Jumpers. They now have their Novice titles in Gamblers, Snooker & Jumpers!

Judy Russell temporarily handed the handling duties over to husband John and he and "Spenser" earned two titles at the NADAC trial in Killawog NY on September 4th. They got three first placements to earn qualifying legs to complete his Novice Tunnelers and Novice Touch-n-Go titles. John Russell and Sassy earned TWO Open Jumpers legs (both with first places) at the same trial!

At the same trial "Norman" & Tina got their second leg of Open Jumpers with a 2nd place.

Also Penny Sencer reports that "Mistress Mariah Curlygirl" went 2 for 2, first place Qs in Novice Jumpers - 10 seconds under time! - for her Outstanding Novice Jumpers title. Yay Curly! "Ditz" earned a first and a Q in Open Regular - a good run 6 seconds under time. "Dervish" got a first and a Q in Novice Tunnelers.

AND, at the same NADAC trial, Sarah Shaffer and "Songo" (mixed breed) got three titles, Novice regular, tunnelers and Touch-n-go. WOW!

August

Kim and "Chance" earned a 2nd place in Novice B Standard at the AKC trials in Chenango Valley.

Evelyn and Aussie "Becky" earned a Novice JWW leg with no faults and a 3rd place.

Christina Papaleo excitedly reports that Cairn Terrier "D'ogee" and I had an amazing run today. Guess what happened?! WE QUALIFIED *AND* GOT 4TH PLACE!!!!!!!!!!! i AM SO PROUD OF HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" You should be proud of yourself too Christina! Congratulations!

At the August CATO trials, Cheryl Bell and "Beka" finished their OJP title with a first place! "Gage" and Cheryl earned a bumper Open Jumpers leg with a 2nd place.

Terry Brown and "Trek" earned an Excellent Jumpers leg and 1st place at the CATO trials.

At the same trials, John Russell and miniature schnauzer "Sassy" earned an Open Standard title, and they also qualified in ExA JWW!

Also at Cato, Jeannette Levinsohn and German Shepherd Dog "Sammy" finished their Open Standard title with a 4th place!

At the Central NY Sheltie trials in Little York, "Gage" and Cheryl Bell earned their Open Jumpers title with a 2nd place. "Beka" earned her NAP title with two qualifying scores, a 1st and a 2nd place, and earned her first two OJP legs with a 1st and a 2nd! Congratulations!

Terry Brown and Australian Shepherd "Trek" earned an Excellent Standard leg and 2nd place at the Sheltie Trials.

At the EMAC CPE trial in Skowhegan Maine "Ditz" earned Qs in Colors, Fullhouse, Wildcard, 2 Jumpers Qs, and 2 Standard Qs to finish his Standard Class Championship. He now has a ChCL to go with his C-ATCH! He, Farley the Beardie, and Ebony the Lab mix finished in 2nd place in the Connoisseur division of the Can-Am games. "Dervish" finished his Level 2 Standard title with two qualifying runs. He, Granite (the Beardie pup), and a crazed young, red Border Collie from Texas earned a lovely 3rd place in the Enthusiast (Novice) division of the Can-Am games.

July

Tina Powell reports on the new DOCNA organization. She and "Norman" went to the first ever DOCNA trial in New York. They got Q's in, Jumpers & Gamblers.

Beth Scales reports that At the NADAC trials on in Killawog on 7/15 and 7/16 "Benjamin" earned 1st place and Q's in novice Regular, Jumpers, Tunnelers and Touch-n-go. He also earned a 1st place in weavers but did not Q because he was over time.

At the same trials Penny and "Ditz" finished his Open Tunnelers title with a Q and a 4th in Tunnelers, and his Outstanding Open Chances title with a Q He also earned a Q and a 2nd place in Open Jumpers. "Dervish" ran the last event of the trial - Novice Tunnelers - and earned Q and a 4th place, AND "Curly" ran Novice Jumpers and had a ball.

Penny Sencer is thrilled to announce that "Master Ditz" finished his C-ATCH in style by getting an incredibly hard gamble and he nailed his final Fullhouse, and ran enthusiastically and made the Jackpot look easy! We can be really proud of how hard Ditz has worked to become - C-ATCH Master Conan the Ditz OAC, OJC, OGC, TN-N, TG-N, PD1, PG2, PK2, PJ2, RS-O, JS-O, GS-O.!

Also, Penny's "Dervish" finished his Level 1 Standard with a Q and a third place on Saturday for his first ever agility title. Dervish also qualified in Level 3 Colors (1st place), Level 3 Jumpers (2nd place), and Level 2 Standard (1st place).

At the CPE trials in Port Bryon, Barb Mattes and "Breeze" thru the grueling HEAT, got 7 Q's..6-1st place, 2-2nd,place, and 1-3rd and one NT (no time), and they finished another TITLE - STANDARD LEVEL 2, Barb reports "for Breeze it was PHENOMENAL !! The last class of the day.........after all the heat, and jumping,,etc....was JUMPERS ! Of course he did ALL 10 RUNS - CLEAN !!" Congratulations!

At the same trials, Tina Powell and "Norman" got Q's in 3 out of 5 events with 3 first places.
Q's were achieved in Level 3 Fullhouse and Jackpot and Level 4 Jumpers.

At the SOTC trials July 8-9th, "Jason" and Becky earned a Q and 2nd place in Open JWW and a Q and 1st place in Ex. A STD!

Also at SOTC, Sue Hamlin and "Dealer" had a double Q on Sunday, in both Novice JWW and Open Standard they placed second.

And Kim and "Chance" got a 1st place in Open Jumpers Preferred and a 2nd place in Open Standard Preferred. They had a clean run in jumpers and did the 12 weaves with no problem. Kim reports that Chance "Nailed all his contacts! I was very proud of him!" Yippee!!

Cheryl Bell and her Aussies did well at the SOTC trials. "Gage" earned his 2nd leg in Open Standard with a 4th place, and his 2nd leg in Open Jumpers with a first place. Not to be outdone, "Beka" earned her first NAP leg with a 1st place, and her NJP title in three days with two seconds and a third!

At the beginning of July, Becky Tinus and "Jason" attended a USDAA trial at Chenango Valley State Park and earned a qualifying score and 1st place in Performance I Gamblers and a qualifying score and 2nd place in Performance I Standard.

At the same trial Beth Scales reports that "Benjamin" Q'd in Performance 1 Jumpers with a 4th, Snooker with a 2nd and Standard with a 2nd. He also earned a 2nd in Standard and Gamblers but did not Q. Benjamin and Norman got a 2nd in the pairs class on Saturday and Benjamin and Dervish won the pairs class on Sunday.

Penny also reports on the fabulous Pairs run for "Dervish" and "Benjamin" and also that "Ditz" and "Norman" earned second place in the same class! Ditz also earned his 5th PIII Snooker Q and now needs to go for the Super Qs. He also ran and incredibly intricate PIII Jumpers course coming in a fraction of a second under SCT for a 1st and a Q. Ditzie also earned a Q and a first in PIII Snooker, and a Q and a first in PIII Gamblers. His total for the weekend is 4 PIII Qs - 2 Snookers, 1 Gamblers and 1 Jumpers. "Dervish" ran a cool PI Snooker for a first and a Q. They also had a great PI Jumpers run for a 2nd and a Q.

"Chance" clears a jump at a trial in August
Kim and "Chance" had a good weekend at the end of June. They finished both titles (standard and Jumpers) in Novice preferred. They moved up to Open the following day and even in the rain didn't do too bad. Didn't Q, but did respectable.Kim reports that she "learned what I need to work on!"

Tina Powell reports that she and "Norman" to the Blackthorn USDAA trial Friday with Marlene & "Cricket" just for the day. Norman & Cricket both got Q's & first places in Novice Jumpers. This gave Cricket her Novice Jumpers title.

Penny Sencer and "Ditz" went 7 for 8 at the Bo-Gee Agility CPE trial, failing to Q only in his final, Standard run on Sunday. He earned a Q & 3rd in Standard; Q & 4th in Fullhouse; Q & 2nd in Snooker; Q & 3rd in Jumpers; Q & 3rd in Jackpot; Q & 4th in Wildcard; Q & 3rd in Colors, all in Level 5. Ditzie is closing in fast on his C-ATCH but don't tell him... He only needs 2 Qs - Jackpot and Fullhouse. Youngster "Dervish" again Qed in all of his events: Q in Level 3 Colors; Q & 4th in Level 3 Jumpers; Q & 2nd in Level 1 Standard.

"Sassy", a miniature schnauzer handled by John Russell, earned two qualifying legs at the Cato NY AKC trials. She got her first Ex A JWW leg (and a first place) and also earned a leg in Open Standard.

"Spenser", a miniature schnauzer handled by Judy Russell, earned a qualifying leg at the same trials - his in Ex B Standard, earning him his very first MACH point!

Becky Tinus reports that "Jason" earned a Q in Open JWW at Cato! "Muttin" also two Qs in her Excellent classes during Cato weekend.

Also at Cato, Jeannette Levinsohn reports that "Sammy" earned two Open Standard legs, one with a 1st place, and they finished their Novice JWW title with a 4th place.

Also at Cato, Cheryl Bell's Aussie "Gage" earned a first leg and 3rd place in Open Jumpers, and a 1st place and fist leg in Open Standard. Cheryl's "Beka" earned her Open Jumpers title with two qualifying runs (3rd place and a 2nd place). Congratulations!

In early June, Tina Powell and "Norman" went to Farmington for a CPE trial and got Q's in Level 3 Snooker and Level 4 Colors. No standard Q but Norman did the teeter which Tina reports as being "almost as good."

Penny Sencer was at the same trial and "Ditz" earned 8 Q for 8 runs! He earned 4 firsts, 1 second and 3 thirds, all Qs. "Dervish" ran Level 2 Colors and Jumpers, got 2 Qs and 2 1st places.

May

At a recent CPE trial in Skaneateles "Ditz" and Penny Sencer came away with Qs in Level 5 Colors, Level 5 Wildcard, Level 5 Snooker and, last but certainly not least, he Qed in Level 4 Fullhouse for his CL4-F Fun Games title, and his complete Level 4 title! This included two first places and two 2nd places. And youngster "Dervish" earned Qs and 1st places in both Level 2 Colors and Level 2 Jumpers. Congratulations!

At the same trial, "Norman" & Tina Powell got Q's in Level 3 Snooker, Colors & Wildcard and also got a Q in Level 4 Jumpers. And the Russells report that the Schnauzers ran well. Running level two, "Sassy" picked up 6 out of 8 Qs, including five 1st and two 2nds and running level three, "Spenser" picked up 4 out of 8 Qs, including one 1st, four 2nds, two 3rds and one 4th. Wow!

Also at Skaneateles, "Benjamin" and owner Beth Scales earned a 1st in Level 1 Standard, 1st in level 1 Colors, 2nd in level 1 Jackpot, and 1st in level 1 Jumpers, 2nd in level 2 Wildcard and 1st in level 2 Full house. 6 Q's and 3 titles (regular, handler and fun)

At the same trial, even though it was cold and rainy, Barb Mattes reports that English Setter "Breeze" earned a first place in Snooker and Jackpot to earn the CL1-S (strategy title), and a first place and qualifying run in Wildcard which finished the CL1-H (handler title)! With one more Fullhouse Q he will earn all his first level titles! Breeze's name is now "AKC/INT'L/UKC/UAG1 CH Rockmors Mountain Breeze, NA, NAJ, RN, R1, CGC, TDIA, CL1-R, CL1-S, CL1-H! Wow!

Sue Hamlin reports that Rottie "Dealer" went to the Rottweiler Nationals and earned a First place and was the only Q in Open Standard!

At the AKC trials in Hamburg, Linda Aoli's "Kobi" got two "Q's", both with Fourth place finishes, in Exc. B Standard.

Jim Turner reports that Irish Setter "Jazzi" got her first leg in Open JWW placing 1st and received her title in Novice Standard also placing 1st at the Hamburg trials.

Judy Russell and Miniature Schnauzer "Spenser" earned an Excellent A JWW leg at Hamburg.

The first weekend of May, at a NADAC trial Tina Powell and "Norman" got a Q in Novice Chances. At the same trial, "Ditz" and Penny earned 3 Regular Qs (in Proficient) - 2 of them 1st places and 1 second. He now has accumulated 75 points toward his Outstanding Open Regular Title!

April

"Norman" & Tina Powell got their first USDAA Q with a first place in Gamblers!

"Ditz" and Penny had a fantastic weekend in the cold rain and mud at the Port Byron CPE trials and Qed in 8 out of 10 runs. He also earned 5 first places, and 2 second places and finished his Level4 Strategy Games title. He is now "Master Conan the Ditz O-NAC, O-NGC, O-NJC, OAC, OJC, OGC, TN-N, TG-N, PDI, PGI, PG2, PKI, PK2, PJI, PJ2, CL1, CL2, CL3, CL4-R, CL4-H, CL4-S, RS-N, RS-O, JS-N, JS-O, GS-N, GS-O" Ditzie is now in Level 5 in everything except Fullhouse (needs one more Level 4 Q) and well on his way to his C-ATCH. Stay tuned for a possible big celebration this summer! And "Dervish" give a real trial a go. He ran Level 1 Colors on Saturday and finished with a 1st and a Q, and he earned a 1st and a Q in Level 1 Jumpers Sunday.

"Jason" and Becky Tinus finished their AKC Open Jumpers Title with a 3rd Place at the SOTC trials the last weekend of April!

At the same shows, "Becky" and Evelyn finished their Novice JWW title with a third place.

And Cheryl Bell and "Beka" earned their Open Standard title with a 3rd place!

Also at these trials, Linda Aloi's "Niki" got a first place and her 2nd Open Standard leg and her "Kobi" got a Exc. B Standard "Q".

Marlene Buchel and "Cricket" finished her Ex A AKC at the SOTC trials. Cricket is now 12 and is retiring from AKC competition but will remain active in TDAA and USDAA at the 8" jump height. Marlene says "Thanks to my instructors that helped us get there and some of the friends that I have traveled with that provided some encouragement, training, and fun for me and the doggies."

On April 21st Australian Shepherd "Trek" and Terry Brown earned their Tracking Dog Excellent title! Great Job!!!!

At the Salt City cluster, BC "Chance" and owner Kim earned 3 qualifying runs; one JWW Novice Preferred with a 4th place finish, and two Standard Novice Preferred with one 3rd place and one 4th place finish!

Also at Salt City, John Russell and Miniature Schnauzer "Sassy" earned an Open JWW leg at the
with a first place finish! And, Judy Russell and Miniature Schnauzer "Spenser" earned an ExA JWW leg with a first place finish and a 100 score. They also earned TWO ExA standard legs with a third place finish and a second place finish to complete the AX title. Way to GO!

On April 15-16 Penny Sencer went to a NADAC/ASCA trial in Maryland and she and "Ditz" earned their Open Gamblers/Chances titles in NADAC and ASCA. They also Q'd in Open Tunnelers and in Regular.

On April 8-9 Penny and "Ditz" went to a USDAA trial and finished the PII Gamblers title with a 1st place and a Q, got the maximum points and a 4th place Q in PIII Snooker, and qualified in the National Performance Qualifier. Congratulations!

March

On Thursday of the Salt City shows, Cindy and Shetland Sheepdog "Scout" double qualified with a two 3rd place in Novice JWW preferred, and a Novice Standard preferred. What a great start!

At Salt City Cheryl Bell's Australian Shepherd "Beka" earned her first Open Jumpers leg, and her second Open Standard leg with a 2nd place.

Also at Salt City Jeanette Levinsohn reports that "Sammy" earned THREE Novice A Standard leg with two 1st places and a 2nd place for their title! They also earned their first two Novice A JWW legs with a 1st and a 2nd place!

On Saturday March 18th at a CPE trial in Chatham Center beagle "Norman" Q'd & took 1st place in Level 2 Jackpot & Snooker. He also Q'd & got 3rd place in Level 3 Jumpers.

"Master Conan the Ditz" aka "Ditz" finished his level 3 CPE titles. He had Qs in 5 runs on one day, and 3 Qs in 5 runs the second day. This included: Level 5 Standard: Q and a 1st place; Level 5 Jumpers - 2 Qs and 2 1sts; Level 3 Jackpot - Q and a 4th place - Level 3 Title!!; Level 4 Jackpot - Q and a 1st; Level 5 Wildcard - Q and a 3rd; Level 5 Colors - Q and a 2nd

Jim and Irish Setter "Jazzi" went to the AKC trials sponsored by the Schenectady Dog Training Club on March 4th and 5th. and in their first trial had a qualifying run in Standard Novice A and placed 2nd. Jim says "I would like to give you a lot of credit for preparing us and please include that in the brag if you would -- all nerves calmed once we started our runs thanks to your training, your training on being flexible during the run was a great asset". Great Job Jim!

Several brags came in from students who attended a recent seminar in Louisiana:

"Zesty" an Aussie and owner Joan report they went to a USDAA trial and earned Performance I Qualifying Run w/ 1st place; Gamblers I Qualifying Run w/ 1st place; Starters Relay Qualifying Run w/ 3rd place (partner poodle Soupy); Snookers I Qualifying Run w/ 1st place & TITLE!!! I wanted to share a Zesty Brag with you to let you know your advice paid off from our seminar last weekend!!"

"Dixie", a BC and owners Susan & Jim report a great run on a in a gamblers class on Friday, just missing the gamble by a nose as Dixie was in the air as the buzzer sounded. But on Saturday of the weekend they got q's in the Grand Prix, Pairs and Snooker, and on Sunday q's in Standard, Jumpers and Snooker. Great Weekend!

February

Master Conan the Ditz and Penny Sencer went to a CPE trial in New England and Ditz earned 6 Qs in 7 runs. They finally got a Level 3 Jackpot Q! Congratulations!

January

At the CPE trials the Jan. 14 & 15 in Freeville NY, "Muttin" & Bernie qualified and took 1 st place in Level 4 Snooker, and "Jason" & Becky qualified in Level 3 Colors. Congratulations!

At the same trials, "Norman" and Tina Powell got Level 2 Q's in Snooker (2nd Place); Wildcard (1st Place); Fullhouse (2nd Place); and Jumpers (1st Place)!

Also, Joyce Golden and "Jazz" picked up 3Qs and 3Zs! and Penny Sencer and "Ditz" Q'd in Level 5 Standard, Jumpers and Colors. He also Qed in Level 4 Wildcard, earning his Level 4 Handler Games title.

Barb Regan reports that at the same trials, "Breeze" earned his Standard Level 1 title. He took 2nd place both days in Standard, and he took 1st place and got a qualifying score in the game - COLORS. This is the 3rd Agility Venue that Breeze has titles in.

"Benjamin", a mixed breed, and owner Beth Scales went to their first event at these CPE trials and won full house (level 1) won wildcard (level one) and got a second in standard (lost by 0.07 seconds) and came home with three Qualifying runs...yeah!!!
