Dave Oberbeck's "Jake"
Dave Oberbeck reports that Golden Retriever "Jake" earned 6 new agility titles and is currently competing with the big boys in level 4 CPE...Jake was also featured in the Scranton Times for his Therapy dog work at Allied Rehab Center in Scranton. Congratulations!
Penny Sencer reports a summery of her great year. The Blackdogs participated in 27 agility trials in 4 different venues and earned a total of 340 Qs and 43 titles. The breakdown is as follows: Mistress Mariah Curlygirl WV-N, TN-N, O-NJC, O-NAC, O-NCC, S-OJC, EJS, PD1, RS-N, GS-N, JS-N (Curly) earned 11 Qs and 2 titles; C-ATCH2 Master Conan the Ditz ExST, ChST, ChJU, ChWC, ChCL, ChSN, ChFH, ChJP, S-OAC, S-OJC, S-OCC, S-TN-O, TN-E, S-TG-O, WV-N, O-WV-O, EAS, EJS, ECS, PD1, PD2, PG2, PK2, PJ2, PJ3, RS-O, JS-E, GS-O, CGC, (Ditz) earned 148 Qs and 8 titles; C-ATCH BOCES Blackdog Whirling Dervish ChST, ChJU, ChCL, ChSN, ChWC, ChFH, ChJP, CL1, CL2, CL3, CL4, HP-N, S-NAC, S-NCC, S-TN-N, S-NJC, S-WV-N, S-TG-N, S-OAC, S-WV-O, S-OCC, S-OJC, EJC, S-TN-O, S-TG-O, PD1, PS1, PJ1, RS-O, JS-O, GS-N, CGC (Dervish) earned 181 Qs and 33 titles. All in all, a good time was had by all!
November
At the Boomtowne CPE trial Tina and Norman Q'd in 7 out of 8 events & Sally Q'd in 2 out of 4. Norman got Q's in Level 5 Colors, Fullhouse, Jumpers, Jackpot, Wildcard and STANDARD (3 TO GO!). He also got a Q in Level C Snooker. Sally got a Q in Wildcard to earn her first Level 2 title and she got a Q in Level 2 Fullhouse.
At the Skaneateles CPE trial Norman and Tina Powell earned Level 5 - Wildcard, Fullhouse, Jackpot, Level C - Snooker & Colors. Tina and Sally got Q's in Jumpers Sat. and both Colors runs Sun.
October
At the Port Byron CPE trial Oct 11 & 12 Norman and Tina Powell got Q's in the following: Snooker & Colors - Level C 2 Jackpots, 1 Fullhouse, and 2 Standards - Level 5 (4 Standards to our C-ATCH!). And Sally got her first Q in Level 2 Wildcard!
At the same trial Mark Goldman and Moca took four (4) firsts and finished last leg of Standard 2 Title, finished last leg of Colors, finished last leg of Wildcard, earned first leg Of Snooker. ALL were Q's and had 0 faults!
September
Tina Powel and "Norman" earned their first PIII Jumpers Q at the USDAA trial in Macedon.
Tina Powell reports that at the CPE trial at Boomtowne "Norman" did the teeter in both standard runs. He also got Q's in Level 5: Standard, Wildcard, Fullhouse, Jumpers and Colors (for his Level 5 Championship - 15 Level 5 Colors. At the Blackthorn fall USDAA trial they earned a Q in PIII Snooker, our favorite.

Moca comes out of the tunnel at a recent trial
Mark Goldman reports that Border Collie "Moca" spent her 2nd Birthday at some AKC trials where she earned three 1st places!
At the Cato trials Cheryl Bell reports that Pembroke Welsh Corgi "Wes"earned his first legs in Standard - three Qs for his Standard title. He also earned 2 jumpers legs.
At the NADAC trial in Macedon "Norman" & Tina got Q's in Open Tunnelers and Elite Standard. At the Cato trials Norman did the teeter to earn a PI standard Q, and they also earned a PIII Snooker Q with the teeter in the closing sequence!
Barb Mattes reports that English Setter "Breeze" earned his C-ATCH! Congratulations!

Barb Mattas is very pleased to report that English Setter "Breeze" earned the AKC AX title. And, the same weekend earned their 2nd leg in OPEN FAST class with a 3rd place.
At the Killawog NADAC trial Norman & Tina got a Q in Elite Standard. At the CPE trials in Freeville they earned Qs in Level 5 Colors, Wildcard, Snooker, Jackpot, Fullhouse and .....most important .... 2 Standard (with teeters!). At the CPE trials at Max 200 they got Level 5 Q's in: Colors, Wildcard, Jackpot, Fullhouse, Jumpers & 2 Snookers to earn us our Level 5 Snooker Championship (15 Level 5 Snookers) Not bad for a hound. Now if only we could get 9 teeters!
June
At Blackthorn USDAA trials, "Norman" & Tina got the last leg they needed for their Snooker PIII title. At the USDAA trials at Chenango Park, they earned their PI pairs title (with thanks to Beth and Benjamin) and a Q in PIII Snooker.
Jim Turner reports that Irish Setter "Jazzi" earned their 6th double Q at CATO, which means they have qualified for the AKC Nationals next March (in North Carolina!). They also earned the MXF title!
"Cleo" and Cherie Soule won both of her elite jumpers classes at the ASCA trial in Massachusetts on June 15. Then they won her open standard class, and completed her open standard title, then won her Excellent A JWW Class at Cato. She also got high scoring Australian Shepherd in Open Standard.
Helen Smith and "Spice" earned their regular Novice FAST title.
Tina Powell reports that "Norman" did a teeter at the Boomtowne CPE trial to earn the Level 4 Standard title. They also got Q's in Level 5 Jackpot and Fullhouse.

Mark and Border Collie "Moca" went to a CPE trial and earned two Standard 2 legs, with a first and a second. Congratulations!
Tina and "Norman" went to the Hughesville NADAC trials got a Q in Open Touch & Go.
Helen Smith and Samoyed "Spice" went to the Mt Nittany Trials and earned 2 Qs in Novice Standard.

At the Boomtown CPE trials, Beagle "Norman" & Tina Powell got Q's in level 5 colors, wildcard, snooker and full house
Penny Sencer and her dogs went to a NADAC trial where "Ditz" earned 2 Qs in Elite Regular, a Q in Elite Jumpers, and a Q and his Outstanding title in Open Touch N Go. "Dervish" earned 2 Qs in Open Regular, a Q in Open tunnelers for his Outstanding title, 2 Qs in Novice Touch N Go for his Superior Novice title and his Superior Novice Versatility Aware, and 2 Qs in Open Weavers for his Open Weavers title. "Curly" ran two lovely Elite Jumpers runs for Qs..
Dave and "Jake" went to the Honeybrook CPE trials and completed their Level 1 Games title, Level 2 Standard agility title, 1st leg of standard level 3. They finished with 8 Qs out of 10 classes, one firts place, seven 2nd places. Congratulations!
At the Port Byron CPE trial April 19 & 20 "Norman" & Tina Powell got Q's in Level 5 in the following: 2 Snooker, 1 Colors, 1 Wildcard, 1 Jackpot, 1 Fullhouse, 1 Jumpers. Then, at the NADAC trial at Killawog they Q'd in the first two runs to finish their Elite Standard title. Congratulations Tina and Norman!.
Norman shows his weave performance
"Ditz", "Dervish" and "Curly" and Penny Sencer went to the CPE trial in Port Byron on 4/19 & 4/20. "Curly" had a perfect weekend - she ran one thing, Level 5 Jumpers, and earned a Q and a first place. "Dervish" also had a perfect weekend. He went 10 for 10 in Qs and all were first places. "Ditz" went 8 for 10 with 6 second places and 2 third places.
Jim Turner and Irish Setter "Jazzi" report that they earned their first triple Q (exc B FAST, exc B JWW, exc B standard) it was also their first double (JWW & STD) in 6 months, and they had two of those! They had two 1sts in FAST, two 2nds in JWW and 3rd in STD! So at the end of that weekend they had Qd and placed on 7 out of 9 runs!!! On an earlier weekend they Q'd in all three FAST runs, with three first places! Go Jazzi and Jim!
Penny and crew went to NH twice this month. Once for a CPE trial where "Dervish" ran in Level 5 Jumpers and earned a Q, a first place and his Jumpers Championship title; and Level 5 Jackpot where they earned a Q, a third place, and his C-ATCH! Their other trial was a USDAA Tournament trial where "Dervish" paired with a Bearded Collie named "Farley" rand in Pairs Relay for 5th place overall with 777.05 total points, and "Ditz" paired with a Border Collie "Molly" earned 7th place with 768.9 total points. Congratulations!
March
Jim Turner reports on several trials. One weekend he and "Jazzi" (Irish Setter) had two qualifying runs, one in jumpers and one in standard, plus nailed ALL their contacts! On an earlier weekend they had a 50% Q rate, with one standard Q and one jumpers Q.
Norman & Tina got their last leg of Novice Tunnelers to get out Novice Versitility Title and their second leg of Open Weavers.
Terry Brown's Siberian Husky "Liza" earned her first Rally Advanced leg at the Syracuse cluster.
February
At The Boomtowne CPE trials "Norman" and Tina got 6 Q's out of 8 events. They got Q's in level 5 fullhouse, jackpot, colors, wildcard, snooker & jumpers.
At the same trials Penny Sencer and "Dervish" had a perfect weekend with 1sts in Jackpot, Jumpers and Colors, 2nds in 2 Standards, Fullhouse and Snooker, and a 4th in Wildcard. He now needs only 1 Jackpot for his C-ATCH. "Ditz" got 1sts in Standard, Jackpot, Wildcard and Snooker, 2nds in Jumpers and Colors, and a 3rd in Fullhouse. And "Curly" ran Level 5 Jumpers, took a 1st and a Q.
January
Penny Sencer and her "Blackdogs" did will at Freeville's CPE trials. "Curly" finished her Level 4 Jumpers with a Q and a 1st. "Dervish" got a Jackpot Q (and a 2nd) and now needs only 2 Jackpots for his C-ATCH. He also got Qs and firsts in Level 5 Fullhouse, Snooker, Wildcard and Colors. "Ditz" got Qs and 1sts in Jumpers, Wildcard and Colors, and Qs and 2nds in Fullhouse and Snooker.
At the same trials "Norman" and Tina Powell got Q's in Level 5 Standard,Wildcard, Colors, Snooker, Fullhouse Jumpers .
