I would like to thank everyone who donated books to the annual summer book sale at the Morrisville Public Library. I would also like to extend a personal thank you to all who helped out setting up, tearing down and working the payment table. A big thanks goes out to my Library Co-Manager, Jessica Jacobs-Broedel, for her countless hours preparing the books for the sale.
Feel like you never have time to scrapbook? Looking for new ideas? Bring your supplies and come down to the library this Saturday, July 23rd, from 1 to 4 PM. We will provide the space you need to complete a page or two.
Is the family getting bored? Bring them in for our Musical Game night on Monday, July 25th, at 6:30 PM. We will play a different (much easier) version of “Name that Tune,” “Listen to that Sound” (who can guess the right sound) and go on a musical scavenger hunt. Refreshments will be provided. Come on in and join the fun.
Nancy Sander and her famed puppet show, “Puppets with Pizzazz,” are returning once again to the library. This year she will be performing “Br’er Rabbit in Love.” Don’t miss this magnificent showing on Wednesday, July 27th, at 6:30 PM. This event is open to the entire family and will have everyone laughing.
What is a summer vacation from school without a camping trip? We’ll be camping at the library on Monday, August 1st, at 6:30 PM. Come in and join our camping adventure. We will sing campfire songs, play great games, make delicious snacks and listen to campfire stories. This is open to the entire family. Please note: This program ends at 8 PM. We will not actually be camping but we will simulate it the best we can in an hour and a half.
Jeff Boyer is back at the library this summer with a new program. He will entertain young and old with his amazing feats of physics and science. He will astound the audience with several classic magic illusions on Wednesday, August 3rd, at 6:30 PM. Bring the entire family in for some science and magic.
We will have our Summer Reading celebration on Friday, August 5th, at 6:30 PM. All summer reading participants who read at least eight hours during the four weeks of our program will be invited to attend. Each participant will receive a completion certificate and a prize. We will also have an ice cream party to celebrate all the success.
Be sure to check out some of the new books arriving daily on our shelves. We have most of the New York Times bestsellers and more. If you would like something that is checked out when you arrive, our friendly staff would be happy to place a hold for you.
We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12 to 8 PM and Tuesday and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM.
