Nancy Heck elected President of Heritage Farm Board
Nancy Heck of Hamilton, a teacher with the Sherburne-Earlville School District, was elected President of the Board of Directors of Heritage Farm, Inc. in Bouckville, at the organization’s 2005 annual meeting held June 7th. Also featured at the meeting were the presentation annual awards to program participants and volunteers, the election of several new directors and a keynote address by Dr. James Yonai, Director of Madison County Mental Health.
Heck succeeds Cindy Hengst of Hamilton, Director of CKH Productions, who had served as President since 2003. Heritage Farm Executive Director Stephanie Sauro thanked Hengst and outgoing Treasurer David Baird for their years of service.
Honors recognizing the work of volunteers and program participants were presented to the following: Stephanie Martineau — Participant of the Year - Homestead; George Miller — Participant of the Year - Activity Center; Jeff Acee — Participant of the Year - Supported Employment; Erin Conley — ALMA (Amy Little Memorial Award) Pride and Accomplishment Honor; Sister Mary Canavan — Volunteer of the Year; Chris Parfitt — Heritage Award; Lorrie Westman — special recognition honor.
In addition, four new directors joined the Board: Bonnie Cossitt, Vice President of Cossitt Concrete; Ted Nicholson, participant representative at Heritage Farm; Glenn Osterhout, agricultural educator/FFA with Madison Central School; and Bruce Prindle, a computer coordinator/teacher from Hamilton.
