The April 11, 2005 meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM.

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this month’s newsletter. After our Anniversary meeting, last month, where we honored two long time members, Dick O’Neill and Jim Snell, we got the news that we have lost another member of our club. 

Ben Dragotto passed away before coming back from Florida. He was good friend that we all are going to miss. I will miss him at the pitch table where I could not keep the “Jack” or “Low” cards from him. 

Many of you will miss him at the golf course, where he was always competitive and gave you a run for your money. 

Jim Spinella will miss his help at all the dinner events where Ben was the first person to show up to help and the last to leave.

Ben was a good friend, a great guy, he always had a smile on his face, and he will be missed by all of us. May you rest in peace.

Mrs. O’Neill and Mrs. Snell and her family attended last month’s meeting for a dinner to honor their husbands Dick and Jim. Eric Ventura and Tom Wagner provided the nameplates and they said a few words in their honor. Both families were very moved at our ceremony and thankful for our kindness. 

The Woman’s Club served our dinner, and we thank them very much for taking this time out of their busy schedule and make our anniversary dinner a special event. 

Our next meeting will be May 9, 2005 at 7:00 PM. I hope to see you all there. God Bless you.
